Springfield Area Prevention Coalition seeks to bring all sectors of the community together to work towards a healthy community through reduction and prevention of substance abuse efforts in the zip code 43528. Our ultimate objective is to decrease 30 day substance use.

This growing suburb maintains a small community of togetherness. There is convenient assess to retail and commercial businesses shops along with recreational and leisure availability within the community parks. The Springfield Local Schools are rated "Excellent" by the state of Ohio. The overall location is adjacent to Toledo, Ohio allowing busy city life to nearby if necassary.
Join in on the Family Easter Egg Hunt hosted by Springfield Area Prevention Coalition at the Holland Public Library! Kroger Pharmacy & Lucas County DART Unity will be there to provide education on medication safety. Parents and Students K-4th grade are welcome to participate!

Lunch & Learn
Springfield Area Prevention Coalition will be presenting at a business lunch and learn November 29th from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at The Dwelling Place on Prevention & Your Business.
On October 26th Springfield Area Prevention Coalition will be participating in the Springfield Pre-K Trick or Treating Event. Stop by and checkout the candy we are handing out and fun little activity that will be provided.
National Drug Take Back Day is Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. where individuals can safely, conveniently, and responsibility dispose of unused or expired prescription drugs before they fall into the wrong hands or are misused. Location to drop-off is the Kroger Pharmacy at 7059 Orchard Centre Dr., Holland, Ohio 43528 or Springfield Township Admin Office (M-F, 9am-5pm), 7617 Angola Rd (at King), Holland, OH 43528
On October 27th Springfield Area Prevention Coalition will be participating in the Blue Devil Fall Festival Event.
Lunch and learn
There was a great turn out of individuals representing businesses within the community that attended the lunch and learn. Individuals who attended hopefully know more about drugs, warning signs to look out for within employees, resources for their employees, and more.

We had so much fun promoting a safer and healthier community by providing candy and fun coloring pages for the Trick-or-Treaters.
Drug Take Back Day
Holland hosted their first Drug Take Back Day at Kroger at Orchard Center. The event was a success event.
